55882 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What was the total value of catering contracts held by Health New Zealand on 2 September 2024, listed by provider, the date the contract was signed, and the total value of the contract?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that on 2 September 2024, Health New Zealand held catering contracts with Compass, and Spotless. I am further advised that Health NZ has a number of contacts with both companies, with different contract dates and covering different districts. The value of each contract is commercially sensitive and cannot be disclosed without the supplier’s consent. However, I am advised that as at 2 September 2024, Health New Zealand had paid Compass $15,725,604.81 across all its contracts during FY2024/25. Similarly, it had paid Spotless $4,598,619.53. I refer the Member to the attached table for details of when each contract was signed.
