55771 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: How much money, if any, has Kāinga Ora spent on pastoral care for tenants living at 53 Boulcott Street in Wellington?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that Kāinga Ora uses a referral model to connect tenants and their whānau with specialist support services through partnerships with agencies such as the Ministry of Health, Te Whatu Ora, MSD, Police, and Corrections. Locally, it works with providers to support Wellington tenants and hosts events to build community connections. Two Housing Support Managers oversee the site and others in central Wellington. Detailed pastoral care cost breakdowns are not readily available. In my view, the time and resources required to obtain this information is not justifiable.
