55683 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many medical shifts required cover at Nelson Hospital's emergency department due to illness in June, July and August of 2024, listed by date?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that 27 medical shifts required cover due to illness. These were eight RMO shifts on 16 and 26 July; and 3, 4, 17, 18, 24 and 25 August; and 19 SMO shifts on 1, 2, 4, 12, 15, 20, 24, and 28 June; 22, 25, 26, and 29 July, and 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 19, and 28 August.
