55490 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Food Safety: What modelling, if any, has the Ministry for Primary Industries conducted on job losses or redeployments on the proposed amendments made to the Animal Products Notice: Production, Supply and Processing?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I assume the member is referring to the consultation underway by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) on the Draft Animal Products Notice: Specified Meat for Export with Official Assurance. The consultation is in progress, which closes on 22 December 2025, and MPI will consider all submissions, including any feedback on impacts from its proposal.
