55487 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many schools and ELS have notified the Ministry of Education and advised on the type of coloured sand they know, or suspect has been used, the approximate extent or areas in which it has been used?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that schools and early learning services are not required to report whether they have used the now-recalled coloured sand consumer products. However, 623 schools and 287 early learning services have engaged with the Ministry to voluntarily notify it of use or non-use of coloured sand.
