55381 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Education: What is the current estimated total cost of school property projects included in the 20 July 2025 press release "Infrastructure projects to drive jobs and growth", and how does that compare with the original approved budget, as at 24 November 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: The current estimated value of Ministry led projects entering construction between July and December 2025 is $690 million. There are a further 48 projects that will now commence in January to align with the schools summer break with a value of $155 million bringing the total to $845 million. There is no ‘original approved budget’ for the projects included as part of the infrastructure for growth announcement.
