55154 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector: What is the average time that it takes for an entity to obtain registration as a charity after applying for that registration?

Hon Louise Upston: In the month of October, the average length of time it took for an entity to obtain a registration was 68 days. The majority of applications are assessed and a decision made within the standard timeframe of 12 weeks. However, a smaller number of complex applications require more time to fully assess and increase the average length of time to obtain registration.
