54595 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Prime Minister: Has the Prime Minister undertaken any review since 3 November 2025 to determine whether his office had received information—directly or indirectly—about the Public Service Commission’s communications relating to the 23 October 2025 industrial action; if so, what were the results of that review?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I am advised that there were email exchanges between staff in my office and offices of the Hon Judith Collins KC and Hon Erica Stanford, and officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet relating to the Public Service Commission’s communications strategy for the industrial action from multiple unions across the public sector on 23 October 2025. These emails were exchanged between 8 October and 6 November 2025. Staff in my office were provided draft copies of the PSC communications strategy, media statements, social media tiles, and an aide-memoire dated 10 October 2025 from the PSC to the Minister for the Public Service.
