54545 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: How many High-Risk Residential Service beds are Corrections set to deliver by July 2028, if any?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Your request has been interpreted to relate to houses on prison land, which house individuals in Corrections management. I am advised that on 17 June 2025, Corrections entered into a contract for the delivery of four additional High-Risk Residential Services beds at Corrections’ Te Korowai residence located on the grounds of Rimutaka Prison in Upper Hutt. Works have commenced on the housing accommodation and necessary supporting site infrastructure.
