54536 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: How many prisoners, if any, have left the Prisoners of Extreme Risk Unit (PERU) at Auckland Prison during October 2025?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that one person left the Prisoners of Extreme Risk Unit in October 2025. This was a death in custody from apparent natural causes.
