54527 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for the Public Service: What independent oversight exists to determine whether the PSC has correctly applied or interpreted its own social media guidance, and which agency, if any, acts as an external reviewer to ensure that the PSC being overseen?
Hon Judith Collins: There is no dedicated independent body that routinely audits the Public Service Commission’s interpretation or application of its own guidance. However, as with other public sector agencies, the Ombudsman handles complaints and investigating the conduct of public sector agencies, and the Auditor-General is responsible for auditing public organisations, this includes the Public Service Commission.
