54525 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for the Public Service: What specific steps, checks, sign-offs, legal reviews, or internal processes did the Public Service Commission undertake to ensure that its paid social media advertisements about the 23 October 2025 industrial action complied with the PSC’s own “Guidance for Public Servants’ Official Use of Social Media,” including any steps taken to ensure the content was genuine, politically neutral, and appropriate during active bargaining?
Hon Judith Collins: I am advised the development of the social media messaging, as part of the Commission’s broader communications strategy, was informed by advice from the Commission’s Legal, Integrity, Workforce and Communications teams. Throughout the process, advice from relevant subject matter experts shaped the content to ensure accuracy and compliance with the Government Advertising guidelines and Commission’s social media guidance.
