54506 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the quarter to improve development and retention intitiatives across nursing careers?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand undertook a range of actions across the country to improve retention and career development for nurses. These included responding to key themes from staff surveys; ongoing work on a Flexible Work Policy, and continuing their core business work with unions, councils, and tertiary education providers.
