Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What advice, if any, has the Minister asked for, or received, from officials on the number of "legitimate customers or websites" in New Zealand that have been accidentally taken down as part of anti-scam measures in 2025?

Hon Scott Simpson: I regularly request and receive advice on a range of topics. In the interest of transparency, a list of briefings and reports received by my office from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is regularly published on MBIE's website (https://www.mbie.govt.nz/about/open-government-and-official-information/release-of-information/lists-of-ministerial-documents-by-portfolio/commerce-and-consumer-affairs).
