54482 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Health: What, if anything, is the process for reviewing the Ministry of Health's offers to historic abuse in care survivors' claims, including who undertakes the review?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the Ministry of Health’s Historic Abuse Resolution Service will review offers where there is new information, which wasn’t considered as part of an original decision. As part of the current changes to the redress processes, work is underway on introducing a new independent review function for survivors with concerns about their settlement offer.
