54454 (2025). Celia Wade-Brown to the Minister of Conservation: What percentage of Predator Free 2050 strategy review public consultations are supportive of feral cats being added to the list of target species?

Hon Tama Potaka: In May-June 2025 the Department of Conservation consulted on the revision of the Predator Free 2050 Strategy including the target predator list. Over 90% of the 3,398 submissions called for feral cats to be included in the Predator Free 2050 target species list and/or improved management of cats overall.
