54453 (2025). Celia Wade-Brown to the Minister of Conservation: What actions, if any, has the Department of Conservation taken to aid Predator Free efforts in NZ after the disestablishment of Predator Free 2050 Ltd?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation worked with Predator Free 2050 Limited to ensure that all the investment contracts were transferred to the Department by August 2025. The Department has maintained the functions of Predator Free 2050 Limited and picked up the support role it provided to landscape scale projects across the country. This consolidation has reduced duplication within the Predator Free 2050 programme and provides an opportunity for the Department to streamline investment decisions and advance progress towards strategic goals.
