54440 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with Consumer New Zealand's Gemma Rasmussen that there needed to be global online product safety registers, and if so, what actions will he take to support that?

Hon Scott Simpson: A global online product safety register would be a large piece of work and would require high levels of coordination and cooperation across borders. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has close connections with key overseas regulators and actively monitors the market for unsafe products.
