Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with Consumer New Zealand's Gemma Rasmussen that the amount of money that the government was putting towards product safety did need to be escalated, and if so, will he advocate for this in the Government's next budget as Consumer Minister?

Hon Scott Simpson: The Government is committed to product safety. As Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister, I will continue to ensure our system remains fit for purpose.
