Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Does the Minister agree with Yellow Brick Road chief executive John Moore that the threshold for getting help was high and getting higher and that's why you see police coming out and why you see ED overuse because it's the most reliable pathway most people perceive for getting mental health support; if so, what, if anything, will he do to address this?

Hon Matt Doocey: I acknowledge there is pressure across the continuum of primary and specialist mental health and addiction system and that in some instances people are having to wait to access services. This is why I have put in place 5 Mental Health and Addiction Targets and identified prevention and early intervention as one of my key priorities.
