54326 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Children: Further to 50408 (2024), what advice, if any, has the Minister received or sent to address the number of complaints lodged since 1 November 2023?

Hon Karen Chhour: I have not received any specific advice on addressing the number of complaints lodged with Oranga Tamariki since 1 November 2023. I have been advised by officials that Oranga Tamariki maintain a robust feedback and complaints system to address all complaints made to Oranga Tamariki. I have also instructed Oranga Tamariki to report quarterly on key performance indicators, including on the proportion of complaints that were handled in a way that fully met Oranga Tamariki standards.
