Arena Williams to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What resources, if any, has WorkSafe deployed, to support lower-decile schools and Early Childhood Education centres responding the health risk posed to children and staff in schools and early learning centres from the recalled coloured sand consumer product?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand is supporting the Ministry of Education to provide support and advice to the education sector. WorkSafe has supported the Ministry to develop its guidance and overall response. WorkSafe has also provided information it has gained from suppliers on purchasers of the recalled products from the education sector.
