54261 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister support the civil prosecution of New Zealand entities who take early action to respond to online scams?

Hon Scott Simpson: I support civil action where appropriate. The Government is introducing the safe harbour so that firms can take swift action to disrupt scams without being concerned about potential civil liability that might arise.
