54236 (2024). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: What, if any, is the total capacity in megawatt-hours of consented, but not yet built or started construction, solar and wind farm projects?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Electricity Authority does not collect consent and construction statuses for the generation investment pipeline. The Authority estimates that there is a total of 782 MW of wind capacity and between 665 MW and 1000 MW of solar capacity consented but not yet under construction. They estimate that this would generate approximately 2,250 GWh per annum for wind and between 1,200 GWh and 2,000GWh per annum for solar.
