Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Do the changes, announced in her “beneficiaries-first” announcement made on 27th August 2024, increase the risk, if at all, of those currently using programs like Mana-in-mahi, but who are not currently in the benefit system, losing access to those programs?

Hon Louise Upston: No, because current participants will not be removed. The stretch targets will be actioned by focusing on those coming into programs.
