Hon Simeon Brown: I consider the Member's reference to Crown appointees in departments, Crown entities and any other bodies to be vague and very broad. There are over 600 statutory roles in the health system across 51 different entities that are appointed by myself, as the Minister of Health or by delegation to an Associate Minister of Health or the Director-General of Health, as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare. I do not consider it in the public interest to commit tax-payer funded officials' time to collate this information.
