Hon Simon Watts: I am advised that the Ministry for the Environment has commissioned research on the development of the methods required to implement New Zealand’s forestry accounting approach as described in our first Nationally Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement. These methods have been implemented to calculate forestry accounting quantities for New Zealand’s first Biennial Transparency Report.
