54196 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Education: Does the Minster think that students have worse educational outcomes when learning in overcrowded classrooms?

Hon Erica Stanford: There are a variety of factors that impact educational outcomes including the curriculum, high quality school leadership, teacher training and teaching expertise, monitoring of student progress and school infrastructure. Property also has a role in supporting schools to deliver core teaching and learning effectively. I am focused on supporting students to learn in safe, warm and dry schools and that the school property portfolio can expand to accommodate more students. To support this goal the Government has provided an additional $1.48 billion over four years for school property through Budget 2024.
