Rt Hon Winston Peters: The budgeted total Crown board remuneration for each operationally independent Crown company or entity that the Minister is responsible for is classified as an operational expense, and is individually budgeted by each entity. This level of detail is not held by the Minister. Board remuneration expenses are disclosed in each entity’s annual report at the completion of the financial year. The Treasury does not consolidate entity performance information by Minister portfolio. Providing the Member with this information would require the Treasury to undertake a substantial collation exercise. As such the time, and hence the expense, of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest.
