54171 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: How much has been budgeted, if any, for renumeration of Crown appointees in the Minsiter's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2025-26 financial year?

Hon Louise Upston: For the Ministry of Disabled People – Whaikaha I am advised remuneration for the New Zealand Sign Language Board Chair is set at $400 a day, and at $300 a day for Board members. Flights and accommodation are arranged by the Ministry of Disabled People - Whaikaha, with Board members able to claim for actual and reasonable expenses such as petrol, and meals. The budget for the New Zealand Sign Language Board’s remuneration for the 2025-26 financial year is $80,000. For the Ministry of Social Development, I refer the member to written reply 54134 (2025).
