54152 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Attorney-General: How many crown appointee positions, if any, are there in the Minister's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2025-26 financial year, broken down by board and number of chairs, deputy chairs and members?
Hon Judith Collins: Crown Law and the Parliamentary Counsel Office do not have boards. However, the Solicitor-General and Chief Parliamentary Counsel are appointed by the Governor-General on advice from the Attorney-General. The Attorney-General also nominates a retired High Court Judge to certify revision bills drafted by the Parliamentary Counsel Office under the Legislation Act 2019.
