Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The remuneration for the Chair and 9 panel members for Severe Weather Events Recovery Review Panel is pursuant to the Cabinet Fees Framework. For the 2024/25 financial year, actual remuneration was $18,742.00. As the Severe Weather Events Recovery Review Panel meets on an as-needed basis, there is no remuneration budgeted for 2025/26. The remuneration and expenses for the Commissioners of Intelligence Warrants (1 Chief Commissioner and 2 Commissioners) are determined by the Remuneration Authority as set out in the Intelligence and Security Act 2017. For the 2024/25 financial year, the actual remuneration was $32,000.00. For the 2025/26 financial year, $174,000.00 is budgeted for the remuneration.
