54021 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: How much has been budgeted, if any, for renumeration of Crown appointees in the Minsiter's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2025-26 financial year?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised the budgeted total Crown board remuneration for each operationally independent Crown company or entity that I am responsible for is usually classified as an operational expense and is individually budgeted by each entity. I do not hold this level of detail. Board remuneration expenses are disclosed in each entity’s annual report at the completion of the financial year. The exception to this practice is the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, which are funded by appropriation. The 2025/26 Estimates of Appropriation sets the appropriation for the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation board remuneration for the year at $728,000. I am also advised the RBNZ has budgeted $2,022,200.
