53973 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: What, if any, is the average cost of installing solar panels on Kainga Ora homes?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that the average CAPEX cost is approximately $15,500 per home (including GST). This is across new builds and existing homes, and includes installations on apartment buildings. The average system size installed is 4.5kW.
