53961 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What assessment, if any, has Health New Zealand made of service coverage gaps that could be filled by pharmacies?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand has assessed locally commissioned extended pharmacy services delivered by community pharmacies in different parts of New Zealand. This has identified opportunities for national alignment and the expansion of services where they are not currently delivered. I am further advised that Health NZ is working through this with a sector advisory group.
