53959 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Is the minister working to expand Whakaorangia te Mana Tangata into the Youth and Family Courts and if so what are the features of this strategy?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Whakaorangia te Mana Tangata was funded through Budget 2021 for three District Court locations only. These sites are Kaitāia, Gisborne and Kaikohe District Courts. There are no planned changes to expand the initiative into the Youth and Family Court.
