Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Enable all Well Child Tamariki Ora providers to deliver childhood immunisations’ under ‘Priority Area 1: Expansion of vaccinator workforce’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the January to March 2024 quarter, Te Aka Whai Ora completed an initial review to identify all Well Child Tamariki Ora providers; most of whom are now providing immunisation services or have established referral pathways. I am further advised that Health New Zealand has engaged remaining providers as part of wider work to enable all WCTO providers to vaccinate tamariki.
