Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Review the role of the Immunisation Advisory Centre as sole provider of authorisation services, particularly in providing equitable outcomes and their acceptance by Māori organisations’ under ‘Priority Area 2: Authorisation of childhood vaccinators’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the January to March 2024 quarter, the Immunisation Advisory Centre was the sole provider of vaccinator training services. During the quarter, planning work was underway for an open market procurement for vaccinator training services.
