Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Convene an expert working group to develop and implement a comprehensive antenatal immunisation system to: take an integrated approach: break down barriers to a shared health information system and foster relationships between providers, to work together to improve vaccination rates’ under ‘Priority Area 3: Antenatal immunisations’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand was undertaking initial work to identify people to engage with over forming an expert working group, and to establish the group's terms of engagement. I am further advised that the Immunisation Outcomes Collective provides operational oversight of issues relating to antenatal immunisations.
