Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Centralise the coordination of catch-up in the National Immunisation Programme to oversee specific goals (targets) with an equity focus, and provide communication and funding for catch-up’ under ‘Priority Area 6: Catch-up immunisations’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, a national review of outreach immunisation services was finalised, which included mapping of both the catch-up and proactive outreach services. This will be used to inform the design of future service models. I am further advised that a pre-call/recall initiative in general practice was under development during the quarter.
