Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Develop innovative marketing (social and other) materials to counter immunisation complacency, confusion, and lack of confidence in members of the public’ under ‘Priority Area 9: Development of new provider and consumer-facing resources for immunisations’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, work progressed to develop an Immunisation Quality & Safety Framework. The framework will cover clinical and culturally safe practices. I am further advised that work has begun on developing immunisation service standards to replace the operating guidelines.
