53882 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What work has been done, if any, to address the cost of of dental treatments in the quarter January to March 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the quarter January to March 2024, the following initiatives continued to support low-income adults with the costs of dental treatment: - The Emergency Dental Service for Low Income Adults provides emergency dental care for the relief of pain at low cost for those with a community services card. - The Ministry of Social Development Dental Special Needs Grant of up to $1000 annually to low-income adults for immediate and essential dental care.
