53866 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What is the total amount, if any, of individuals who arrived into New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa during the week of 19th August 2024?
Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that during the week beginning 19 August 2024, a total of 11 individuals arrived in New Zealand on a Work to Residence Visa. The number of individuals is based on first arrival after the grant of the visa offshore. Three of the individuals arrived on a Work to Residence resident class visas and the remaining eight arrived on Work to Residence work visas.
First arrivals under the Work to Residence resident visa category are likely to be low due to the requirement to have worked in New Zealand for 24 months and therefore most are granted visas while onshore.
