53821 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How many, if any, claims for abuse in care have been received by Oranga Tamariki, broken down by six-montly periods since the 1 April 2017?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they stood up an interim Claims service in January 2023. Please see Table 1 in the attached document which contains the number of claims for abuse in care have been received by Oranga Tamariki, broken down by six-monthly periods since the 1 April 2017.
