53772 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: How many health practitioners have left the healthcare workforce, if any, since 1 January 2024 to 1 August 2024, broken down by demographic and ethnicity?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that providing the Member with this information, in particular, collating a full depiction of all staff who have left since January 2024, broken down by ethnicity, would require Health New Zealand to undertake substantial manual collation and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210-6, I consider that the time and expense of answering this question cannot be justified.
