53686 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many vetting requests, if any, have Police received from Australian police jurisdictions for constabulary staff between 27 November 2023 to date, broken down by the number of constabulary staff, if any, who have since resigned after having a vetting check?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that between 27 November 2023 and 18 November 2025, Police received 642 vetting requests from Australian Police jurisdictions. Please note that multiple jurisdictions may request checks for the same constable, so the total number of requests is higher than the number of constables who have been the subject of requests. During this period, 224 Police staff have resigned within 12 months of Police receiving a vetting request from an Australian police jurisdiction.
