53677 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Health: Does the Ministry of Health prioritise claims for historic abuse; if so, how?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that as long as claims are in order for referral for a decision, the Ministry of Health seeks to make a decision and notify it within 6 to 8 weeks. If there are special circumstances why a claim should be further expedited, the Ministry will seek to do so.
