53673 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Health: What is the average time, if any, taken for the Ministry of Health to close a claim for historic abuse from the time it is assessed as eligible, for claimants without legal representation?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the time to close a file varies on the circumstances of the individual claim. The Ministry of Health seeks to notify its decision on a claim within 6 to 8 weeks after it is referred for a decision.
