53659 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Corrections: How many, if any, claims for historic abuse in care have been lodged with the Department of Corrections and on what date were they lodged?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that 36 claims have been lodged with Corrections, of those, 33 claims are still open. To protect the personal information of claimants, my officials have provided the date range between which all claims have been lodged with Corrections rather than the individual date each claim was lodged. All claims lodged with Corrections were between May 2019 and October 2025.
