53656 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Māori Development: How many, if any, claims for historic abuse in care have been lodged with Te Puni Kōkiri and on what date were they lodged?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that Te Puni Kōkiri is currently aware of 17 claims relating to two programmes administered by our predecessor agency, the Department of Māori Affairs.
